Snow & Ice Management

Salting & De-Icing in Danbury, CT and Fairfield County

In Connecticut the dangerous part of winter is often not the snow, it is the ice after it: thaw in the afternoon, refreeze at night. We treat driveways, lots, walkways and steps, and use products that are gentler on pavers, bluestone and plantings where it matters.

Why it matters

  • Driveways, lots and walks treated after plowing
  • Stone-safe products for pavers and bluestone
  • Refreeze visits when temperatures drop again

How the work goes

  1. 01

    Pre-season walk-through

We mark edges, note drains, steps and obstacles, and agree on priorities.

  2. 02

    Storm watch

We track the forecast and stage equipment and salt before the snow starts.

  3. 03

    Plow, shovel, treat

Driveways and lots plowed, walks and steps cleared by hand, ice treatment applied.

  4. 04

    Follow-up

Return visits for long storms, refreezes and plow-ridge clean-up at the end of the drive.

Questions homeowners ask

Will salt damage my pavers or bluestone?

Plain rock salt can wear some stone and harm plants. On pavers, bluestone and near beds, we use de-icers that are gentler on stone and plants.

Do you salt without plowing?

Yes. Salting-only visits are available for icy mornings with little or no snow.
